>> reporter: preston's mom is using social media to gain support. she created a page and is working on a nonprofit group for victims of bullying. watch what happened when her son tried to make his case public. preston decided to make his fight with bullies public. his case became more credible. >> the student came up to me and pushed me out of the way and said what are you recording? the student was chasing me and all of the friends were chasing me and then -- i ran and got some help. >> reporter: the teen said the incident on tape is nothing compared to what happened last week. >> student tackled me and i responded punching him back to stand up for myself. >> reporter: he was suspended. now his mom is using her power.

she started a facebook page called stop bullies support preston. she wants to create a support group for victims and a place for parents to learn how to handle the bullies. >> i'm hoping now that they take this more seriously than what they have had. >> reporter: the school system wants students to report bullying, not fight back. administrators say they are working to identity the boys. >> the investigation is number one -- that's number one to find out what is going on, what happened. then we will go from there. >> reporter: he said he was bullied for years. it started with cyber bullying, the cousins of a teen who committed suicide after she was bullied are marking her 16th birthday today by asking people to be kind. preston is using his public incident to say that.

registered you can do it by mail or online at elections.state.md. you can also verify or update on that very site. lot of confusion out there in the ballot. you can read up on the issues and the politics session. you can find that on the website. new tonight we have a name and a face for the teen girl that we told you about last night who was murdered. the 16-year-old was shot in the head sunday night around ten. her body was found in the middle of fair lawn avenue in northwest baltimore right next to her purse and phone. police don't believe robbery was a motive but they have a lot to consider since she developed a juvenile record. family members didn't want to talk to us but they say that they knew she was troubled. >> she comes a loving family, her mother cried -- did -- did everything. everything we could possibly do. sometimes, you know little

girls get lost out here in the world. prayerfully they come back home. she didn't make it. >> police have little evidence to go on. if you know anything about what happened to her call baltimore homicide. tragedy tonight, when a man, senior citizen, tried to rescue a stranger when he fell 35 feet to his death. the 83-year-old richard haren crossed a busy highway to help a driver in a roll over. he was trying to avoid a tractor trailer. it's believed he didn't realize he was on angel evacuated highway. >> [inaudible] going to get hit. jumped on the wall and -- [inaudible] he had a lot of injuries. a lot of injuries and he was in so much pain.

[inaudible]. >> police say the driver was treated release from the hospital. she was likely driving to fast around the curve on the wet highway. if you ride the rails to get to work your drive tomorrow should be easier. the trains are up and running again tonight. overhead wires fell down this morning on to the track south of aberdeen. that shut down the northbound rails between baltimore and new york and it caused headaches. again as of now all the tracks are open and trains are moving as scheduled. if you are going by car you got stuck in the drive this morning, tonight we know why. a tractor trailer carrying about 4,000-gallons of fuel overturned after the truck hit a car. several lanes were closed causing major back ups and delays but the good news is all the lanes are back open and traffic again should be rolling tomorrow. we are helping you plan a

. new developments in the meningitis outbreak. 11 have unaudited and 119 are reported sick. new jersey reporting one illness making it the 10th state to be impacted. maryland officials say five are sick here in the state. one person has died. the outbreak of a rare fungal meningitis is linked to steriod shots given for back pain. it was made by a pharmacy in massachusetts. since the outbreak the company has recalled everything it

makes. time when pe dealing open enrollment. some changes have taken place to make it a little less stressful. a few because of the 2012 health care law. first there are more plans to pick from. second, women's coverage is getting better, and comparing health care plans should be easier. . 20 degrees below average. that's the cool air by the day on thursday. here is the future trend showing a band of mix of clouds and sun during the course of the day tomorrow and temperatures starting out into the 50s on the way for the 60s tomorrow. a lot of spots will touch close to 70 degrees. the bottom falls out in a big way by wednesday night into thursday. temperatures falling back into the 40s and it's a struggle to get to 60 by the day on thursday. here is the forecast. again the radar calling for the clouds, fog and drizzle as we get that all going on. 51 for the overnight and 71 being the two degree guarantee with a blend of sun and clouds and isolated shower. by tomorrow night take a look. 43 degrees. 30s outside of the beltway. here is the seven day, 71 on wednesday. beautiful afternoon. 61 though on thursday with a blend of sun and clouds, much cooler air moves in. pair of sixes to end the workweek and then start off on a lily note on top of a 64,
